There’s 5 days to go until the start of ‘Challenge 126′. Here is the route the boys will be running on Thursday 26th April. They’ll be running non stop from Limerick to Dublin along the R445 (Old Dublin Road). If you’re free come along and support them along their route!
THURSDAY 26th April 2012 – 7AM
LIMERICK: On Thursday 26th April, Mike and Brian will start their run from Debenhams, O Connell Street in Limerick City at 7am. They will leave O Connell St and run out the Dublin Road (R445) to Castletroy passing the Parkway Roundabout, Groody Roundabout, Kilmurrey Roundabout, and Annacotty Roundabout. They’ll stay on the R445 Old Dublin Road to Daly’s Cross.
TIPPERARY: Staying on the R445 Old Dublin Road, the boys will be running through Birdhill, Nenagh, and Toomevara.
OFFALY: The R445 then crosses over the border into Offaly where they’ll run past Moneygall and Dunkerrin.
TIPPERARY: They will re-enter Tipperary and run through Roscrea town and over the border to Laois
LAOIS: On the R445 they will run past Borris in Ossory, Castletown, Mountrath, Portlaoise, New Inn, Ballybrittas.
KILDARE: Continuing on the R445, the boys will run through Monastervin, Kildare town, The Curragh, Newbridge and Naas. Moving onto the R403, the boys will run from Naas to Clane, Cellbridge and onto Dublin.
FRIDAY 27TH April 2012 10AM – 2PM
DUBLIN: The boys will cross over the Dublin border and run through Lucan village and the R109 Lower Road. They will head to Dublin city centre via the Strawberry Beds past The Angler’s Rest, Chapelizod Rd, Knockmaroon Hill, Conyngham Rd, and Parkgate St and onto the North Quays over Grattan Bridge to Parliament St onto Patrick St, Kevin St, Cuffe St, Stephens Green and finally onto the finish line at the top of Grafton St.
We are predicting that running non-stop from Limerick to Dublin will take them approximately 30 hours to complete, all going well!
